Peacemaker Season 2, Episode 7: “Like a Keith in the Night” – A Shocking Twist Before the Finale

Peacemaker Season 2 is getting closer to its big ending! Episode 7, titled “Like a Keith in the Night,” shows Chris (John Cena) facing the results of his past mistakes. The story picks up right after the twist from Episode 6 — the team discovers a world called Earth-X, where the Nazis won World War II. This shocking twist changes everything and puts Adebayo (Danielle Brooks) in serious danger.

But this episode also shows a surprising side of Auggie — he might actually be a hero in this dark world. With big emotions, surprising friendships, and tense fights, Episode 7 builds up perfectly for the final episode.

Chris Faces the Results of His Choices

Peacemaker confronts his father Auggie

Chris finally has to face what he did earlier in the season — when he killed his own double. Now, Auggie (Robert Patrick) finds out the truth after capturing Economos (Steve Agee). Even though Economos tries to lie, Auggie figures it out. He tells Keith (David Denman), who wants revenge.

Meanwhile, Chris and Harcourt (Jennifer Holland) are being hunted by ARGUS. When Chris must choose between two versions of Harcourt, he saves the real one — showing his heart. Their escape is messy but thrilling. Just when they’re trapped, Auggie and Keith blow up the cops and take Chris and Harcourt with them.

Back at the Smiths’ house, Economos regrets telling Auggie the truth but can’t fix it. Chris finally admits what he did — he killed his double by mistake. Instead of turning him in, Auggie plans to help them get back home, but Keith still wants revenge.

Adebayo Finds an Unlikely Friend

Adebayo and Judomaster team up

While Chris is in trouble, Adebayo faces her own danger. In this world, people of color are treated horribly, and she’s being hunted. But just when things look bad, Judomaster (Nhut Le) shows up and saves her!

He brings her to a safe place and tells her how he got trapped in this world too. The two form a bond and even talk about Adebayo’s marriage. Judomaster gives her kind advice and helps her see things in a new way. Surprisingly, they work really well as a team, showing that Judomaster might be a hero deep down.

Auggie’s Big Twist

As night falls, everyone meets again at the Smiths’ house to find a way home. Auggie surprises everyone by saying he doesn’t follow the Nazi ideas of his world — he actually fights against them. For the first time, Auggie seems like a good man.

But then, things take a sad turn. Adrian (Freddie Stroma) jumps in through a window and stabs Auggie. The police rush in, chaos breaks out, and everyone tries to get to the portal. Keith sees his father dying and attacks Chris in anger.

Eagly, Chris’s pet eagle, jumps in to save him. Keith is badly hurt, and Chris breaks down crying, feeling guilty again. Adebayo convinces him to go through the portal, but Harcourt stays behind and shoots Keith. Still, it looks like Keith might survive.

Chris goes back home — but not happier. He feels worse, full of guilt, and unsure if he can ever be a real hero.

ARGUS Takes Control

Rick Flag Sr and Bordeaux at ARGUS

Meanwhile, Rick Flag Sr. (Frank Grillo) teams up with a scientist named Sydney Happersen (Stephen Blackehart) to study the portal. They discover it’s more stable than anything Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult) built — another hint that connects Peacemaker’s story to the wider DC universe.

When Chris and his team finally return home, ARGUS catches them. Chris gives the portal to Rick Flag Sr. and Bordeaux (Sol Rodríguez), taking the blame to protect his friends. He’s arrested, showing he’s learning — but still burdened by guilt.

Now ARGUS controls the portal, and Chris’s future is uncertain. The episode ends with everyone waiting to see what will happen in the season finale.

Final Thoughts

Episode 7 is full of emotion, action, and shocking moments. It shows that even heroes like Peacemaker make mistakes — but what matters is how they try to fix them. With Auggie gone, Keith injured, and Chris under arrest, the next episode promises an explosive finale that could change everything.

Peacemaker Season 2 streams on HBO Max every Thursday — and fans can’t wait to see how it ends!
