Kelly Monaco from General Hospital Shines at Dancing with the Stars 20th Anniversary

General Hospital fans were thrilled to see Kelly Monaco back on TV — but this time, not in Port Charles! The actress, known for playing Sam McCall, was spotted at the 20th Anniversary special of Dancing with the Stars (DWTS).

Kelly Monaco Returns to Her Dancing Roots

The special aired on Tuesday, November 11, and it was a big celebration for DWTS. The show invited many former contestants, hosts, and dancers to look back on two decades of fun, music, and amazing performances.

Many fans may not know that Kelly Monaco was the first-ever winner of DWTS! She took home the mirrorball trophy in Season 1 (2005) and came back again to dance in Season 15 (2012).

Kelly Enjoys the Show with Fellow Stars

During the anniversary event, the official DWTS Instagram page shared a collage of all the returning contestants sitting in the audience. Kelly Monaco was seen smiling next to Olympic skater Kristi Yamaguchi, who won Season 6 in 2008.

Another familiar face from General Hospital, Cameron Mathison (who plays Drew Cain), was also at the event. He had competed back in Season 5 (2007).

A Night Full of Memories and Tributes

The 20th Anniversary show was packed with heartwarming moments. Viewers saw the return of the original six professional dancers — Ashly DelGrosso, Alec Mazo, Charlotte Jørgensen, Jonathan Roberts, Louis van Amstel, and Edyta Sliwinska.

There was also a big surprise: former host Tom Bergeron, who left in 2019, came back as a special guest judge!

One of the most touching moments of the night was a tribute to Len Goodman, the late judge who was loved by fans and dancers alike. The show also honored other stars who had passed away.

Remembering Sam McCall on General Hospital

Meanwhile, over in Port Charles, General Hospital hasn’t forgotten Sam McCall. During the recent Halloween episodes, the show remembered her tragic end — she was given a fatal injection of digitalis by Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober).

In a sweet scene last week, Scout Quartermaine (Cosette Abinante) sat with her family — Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi), Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos), and Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) — to share happy memories about Sam.

Could Sam McCall Return Someday?

Fans know that in Port Charles, no one is ever truly gone forever. Could Sam McCall return someday? Only time will tell — but for now, Kelly Monaco’s appearance on DWTS reminds everyone just how much fans still adore her.
