Very sad news came from Hollywood this week. Isabelle Tate, a young actress from the TV show 9-1-1: Nashville, passed away on October 19, 2025. She was only 23 years old. Her talent agency shared that she died peacefully from a rare disease.

What Was Her Cause of Death?
On October 23, Isabelle’s talent agency revealed that she died from a rare form of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease. This is also called CMT for short. It’s a condition that affects the nerves in the body, especially in the arms and legs.

CMT damages the nerves that control muscles and send feelings like touch to the brain. Over time, it can make muscles weak and smaller. This makes it hard for people to walk, use their hands, and do everyday activities. In severe cases, it can affect breathing and heart function.
Isabelle was diagnosed with this disease when she was just 13 years old. As she grew older, the condition got worse. She needed to use a wheelchair to help her move around.
Who Was Isabelle Tate?

Isabelle, also called “Izzy” by her friends and family, was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. She graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a business degree. But her real dream was acting.
She loved animals very much. Her favorite thing to do was visit animal shelters to spend time with dogs and cats. She also enjoyed writing and recording songs with her friends.

Getting this role was very special for Isabelle. Her agent said, “She booked the first series she auditioned for. She had a wonderful time”.
The show will include a special tribute to honor Isabelle in next week’s episode.

Even though Isabelle faced big health challenges, she never let them stop her. In a 2022 Instagram post, she wrote about her journey. She said, “I don’t know why these were the cards I was dealt in life, but I can’t change it, so I’m choosing to embrace it”.
Her family described her as “full of fire, a fighter”. She was always the life of the party and loved spending time with family and friends. Her sister was her best friend, and she was very close to her mom.
