Mike Colter Returns to the Courtroom

Actor Mike Colter, who previously starred in the supernatural thriller Evil, reunites with the Kings for Cupertino. Fans may also remember him from Luke Cage, The Defenders, Jessica Jones, and The Good Wife.

Colter will play a lawyer in Silicon Valley who is cheated out of his stock options by a tech startup. Instead of giving up, he decides to fight back — joining forces with another lawyer who was also recently fired. Together, they take on big tech companies in court, fighting for people who have been wronged by the powerful tech elite.

What We Know So Far?

Cupertino has been in development at CBS for quite some time. The pilot script received great feedback earlier this year, leading CBS to order 12 additional episodes.

The first episode will be directed by Robert King himself. No other cast members have been announced yet, and CBS has not revealed the official release date — but the series is expected to air in late 2026 or early 2027.

The show will join CBS’s 2026-27 lineup alongside another new series, Einstein, starring Matthew Gray Gubler.

Cupertino will be available exclusively on CBS and will also stream later on Paramount+.
