On General Hospital, Dr. Portia Robinson is once again caught in a huge twist! Fans know this isn’t her first time dealing with baby and relationship drama. Years ago, Portia’s daughter Trina Robinson (played by Tabyana Ali) was born after Portia had an affair with Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) while she was married to Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews).
Now, things are repeating themselves — and the stakes are even higher! Portia might be pregnant again, and this time, the father could be either Curtis or her current fling, Dr. Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson).
Portia had another stressful day after taking a pregnancy test.
A Shocking Moment for Portia
In the October 7th episode, Portia took a pregnancy test and saw a positive result. The moment was full of emotion — surprise, fear, and confusion. Soon after, she had awkward run-ins with both Curtis and Isaiah, leaving fans wondering who the real father might be.
To make things worse, Portia is already dealing with blackmail drama from Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). Drew has secret papers showing that Portia once changed Heather Webber’s medical test results, but she doesn’t know that her daughter Trina and Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) have found the evidence.
Brook Kerr, who plays Portia, told Soap Opera Digest that her character was completely shocked by the pregnancy news.
“There is no way,” Kerr said. “This is not going to add on to the stack of things I have to deal with. The timing of this — with my relationship being over and then getting pregnant? No, it just can’t be.”
Brook Kerr Reacts to the Big Twist
Kerr revealed that she found out about the pregnancy storyline in a very casual way. The show’s executive producer, Frank Valentini, told her the news in between scenes!
“It’s so beautiful to have a child on a show,” Kerr shared. “It’s all these new things to play. And Trina’s going to be a big sister! There were all sorts of things flooding through my mind for about 10 seconds — and then I had to go shoot some other doctor stuff!”
Portia’s Emotional Struggle
Even though Portia might seem strong at the hospital, she’s falling apart inside. She’s disappointed in herself for repeating her past mistakes and getting caught in another “who’s-the-daddy” situation. Kerr explained that Portia won’t tell anyone about the pregnancy right away — she needs time to think about what it means for her life and her family.
Meanwhile, Sawandi Wilson, who plays Isaiah, is enjoying the fan reactions. He shared clips from the October 7th episode on his Instagram Stories, including a fun poll asking fans: “Who’s the daddy — Curtis or Isaiah?”
